The viewmodel is the hands and weapon on your screen. Moving them to the side makes the weapon block less of your view.

🔧 Viewmodel commands

viewmodel_fov 68
viewmodel_offset_x 2.5
viewmodel_offset_y 0
viewmodel_offset_z -1.5
  • viewmodel_fov — how far the weapon is from the camera (54 to 68). A higher value makes the weapon smaller and further away.

  • viewmodel_offset_x — left/right shift (-2.5 to 2.5).

  • viewmodel_offset_y — forward/back shift (-2 to 2).

  • viewmodel_offset_z — up/down shift (-2 to 2).

📌 Ready-made presets

Classic CS:GO:

viewmodel_fov 60
viewmodel_offset_x 1
viewmodel_offset_y 1
viewmodel_offset_z -1

Minimal weapon on screen:

viewmodel_fov 68
viewmodel_offset_x 2.5
viewmodel_offset_y 2
viewmodel_offset_z -2

🎯 Presets in the menu

Settings → Game → Item has ready-made positions: Desc, Classic and Compact.

⚠️ Tip

Put these commands into autoexec.cfg so they never reset.
