Bhop bind on the mouse wheel in CS2
How to bind jump to the mouse wheel in CS2, why it helps and how to bunny hop properly.
A bhop (bunny hop) is a chain of jumps without losing speed. To jump exactly when you land, players bind jump to the mouse wheel: scrolling sends many presses in a row.
🔧 Wheel bind
bind "mwheeldown" "+jump"
bind "mwheelup" "+jump"
bind "SPACE" "+jump"
You can keep only one wheel direction and use the other for something else, such as switching weapons.
📌 How to bhop
Run forward to build speed.
Jump and release W in the air.
Turn the mouse smoothly to one side while holding A or D in the same direction (strafing).
Scroll the wheel just before landing so you jump right after touching the ground.
Switch strafe direction every jump.
🎯 Where to practice
Official CS2 servers run 64 tick with subtick, so long bhop chains are harder than in CS:GO. Practice on Steam Workshop maps tagged "bhop" or on servers with auto-bhop enabled.
⚠️ Tips
Do not press W in the air — it kills your speed immediately.
Even 2–3 good jumps help you reach a position faster.
