How to throw flashbangs properly in CS2 (pop flash)
How to blind enemies without blinding yourself and teammates: pop flashes, flashes over walls, bounce throws and self-flashes.
A good flash explodes before the enemy can turn away. A bad one blinds your own team.
📌 Key rules
A flash blinds everyone looking towards it when it explodes.
The closer to the enemy's eyes it pops, the longer they are blind.
Before throwing, tell your team "flashing" so they look away.
🔧 Pop flash
A pop flash explodes the moment it enters the enemy's view — they have no time to turn.
Throw it up and around a corner or off a wall so it pops into the corridor above the enemy's head.
A short throw (RMB) makes the flash explode sooner and closer to you.
🎯 Self-flash for a peek
Stand at the corner with your back or side to it.
Throw the flash so it pops around the corner while you are turned away.
Peek right after it pops — the enemy is blind, you are not.
⚠️ Mistakes
A flash that pops on the floor in front of the enemy — they have time to look away.
A flash behind a teammate who is entering first.
A flash that is too early: the enemy can see again by the time you peek.
