How to report a cheater in CS2
How to report a cheater in CS2 during and after a match, what happens next and how to keep evidence.
Reports are the main way to help the system find cheaters. The more accurate reports an account gets, the faster it is reviewed.
🔧 Reporting during a match
Hold Tab and press the right mouse button to get a cursor.
Click the player's name → "Report".
Choose the reason: Aimbot, Wallhack, Other hacking or Griefing/abuse.
Click "Submit".
📌 Reporting after a match
Watch → Your Matches → choose the match.
In the player list, click the suspicious player and submit a report.
🎯 How to keep evidence
Download the match demo: Watch → Your Matches → Download.
Note the rounds with suspicious moments — useful if you contact a server's or community's support.
🛡️ What happens next
Reports are used by the VAC Live anti-cheat system and in the player's Trust Factor.
If the player gets banned, you will see a notification when you launch the game.
⚠️ Important
Report only when there is a reason: false reports do not help and clutter the system.
Third-party (community) servers have their own report systems — contact the server's admins.
