Saving means deciding not to fight for a round and keeping your weapon for the next one. A good rifle and armor are expensive, and sometimes losing them is worse than losing the round.

📌 When to save

  • As CT: the bomb is planted, little time remains, you have no kit and there are more Ts.

  • As T: a few seconds left in the round, no plant, and you are alone against several CTs.

  • Your team's economy is bad, and without your weapon next round will be an eco.

  • You hold an AWP against several enemies — losing it hurts your economy badly.

🔧 How to save properly

  • Go to a safe spot away from the enemy's paths.

  • Do not shoot or make noise — let the enemy think you are far away.

  • Tell your team: "Saving".

🎯 Keep in mind

  • As T, saving means your team loses the bomb plant reward.

  • Enemies may hunt you if they know you are hiding with an expensive weapon.

⚠️ When not to save

If there is a real chance to win the round, play it. Saving too often hands rounds to the enemy without a fight.
