Volume bind in CS2: lower the sound with one key

Sometimes you need to make the game quieter fast — for example, when someone is loud in voice chat or you are spectating after death. A bind makes it easy.

🔧 Toggle between two values

bind "F3" "toggle volume 0.1 0.5"

Each press of F3 switches volume between 10% and 50%. Use your own values from 0 to 1.

📌 Step-by-step control

bind "KP_PLUS" "incrementvar volume 0 1 0.05"
bind "KP_MINUS" "incrementvar volume 0 1 -0.05"

• NumPad plus raises the volume by 5%.

• NumPad minus lowers it by 5%.

🎯 Voice chat volume separately

Teammate voice volume is set in Settings → Audio → Voice. This is handy if you want the game loud and voice chat quieter.

⚠️ Tip

Do not keep the game too quiet all the time: footsteps and reload sounds are important information.
