With two monitors, CS2 sometimes opens on the wrong screen, minimizes when you click on the second monitor or takes long to Alt+Tab.
🔧 The game opens on the wrong monitor
Make the right monitor primary: Settings → System → Display → select it → "Make this my main display".
🖱️ The mouse moves to the second monitor
Use Fullscreen mode — the cursor cannot leave the game.
In windowed and borderless modes the cursor can slip onto the other screen.
🔁 Slow Alt+Tab
Fullscreen switches slower but has lower input lag.
If you switch windows a lot, fullscreen windowed switches instantly but may add a little latency.
🎯 Refresh rates
If the monitors have different refresh rates (e.g. 240 and 60 Hz), the game may run worse on some systems. Close videos and animations on the second screen while playing.
⚠️ Tip
Connect both monitors to the graphics card, not one to the GPU and the other to the motherboard.
