What timings are in CS2 and how to use them
What a "timing" means in CS2: how long players take to reach key spots, how to learn them and how to use them for surprise kills.
A timing is how long it takes a player from each side to reach a certain spot on the map. Knowing timings lets you catch enemies where they do not expect you.
📌 Why timings matter
At round start, CTs and Ts run to their positions. If you know who reaches mid first, you can win the first duel.
Timings tell you whether a CT can make it to the other site in time.
If an enemy shows up earlier than usual, they probably ran with the knife and are rushing.
🔧 How to learn timings
Load the map with bots.
Time how long it takes from round start to key spots: mid, site entrances, AWP positions.
Compare with the time for the other side.
🎯 How to use them
Early peeks where the enemy is still running and has not taken position.
Late hits after CTs have rotated following a fake.
Timed smokes so the enemy cannot cross while you take position.
⚠️ Keep in mind
Timings change if the enemy runs with the knife, walks or lingers at the buy. Use them as a guide, not an exact rule.
