Boosting in CS2: how to get on a teammate
How to boost properly in CS2 to take a high position, and the mistakes that give you away to the enemy.
A boost is when one player stands on another's head to see or reach a spot that a normal jump cannot. It gives unexpected angles.
🔧 How to boost
The teammate giving the boost stands in the right spot and crouches.
You walk right up and crouch-jump onto their head.
Once you are on top, the booster stands up — lifting you higher.
For even more height the booster can jump — this is a "double boost".
📌 Where it helps
To look over a wall or box and see a site from above.
To take a position where enemies do not expect you.
To get quick info at the start of a round.
🎯 Tips
Agree in advance: "crouching, jump on me".
Stand still on top and fire single shots — you are on a teammate's head and can slip off easily.
The booster should cover you from below, not just stand there.
⚠️ Keep in mind
You are visible from far away — high spots are often checked first.
If the booster moves, you fall. Only move on call.
