How to show FPS and ping on screen in CS2
How to enable the FPS counter, ping and packet loss display in CS2 using built-in telemetry and Steam.
CS2 no longer has the old net_graph. Instead it has built-in telemetry that shows FPS, ping and connection quality right on the screen.
🔧 CS2 built-in telemetry
Open Settings → Game → Telemetry.
Enable what you need: frame rate (FPS), ping, packet loss and connection quality.
For each item you can choose: show always, never or only when poor.
The data appears in the top-left corner of the screen.
📌 Steam FPS counter
In Steam, open Settings → In Game.
In "In-game FPS counter", pick a screen corner.
This counter works in any game and does not depend on CS2 settings.
🎯 How to read the numbers
FPS — should stay consistently above your monitor's refresh rate.
Ping — under 50 ms is great, 50–80 ms is fine, above 100 ms causes noticeable delay.
Packet loss — normally 0%. Anything higher means network problems.
⚠️ Tip
If your FPS jumps a lot, look at the drops rather than the average — drops are what you feel as stutters.
