Pistols in CS2: which to choose and when to buy
A breakdown of CS2 pistols: Glock, USP-S, P2000, P250, Desert Eagle, Five-SeveN, Tec-9, CZ75 and Dual Berettas. What to buy in pistol rounds and ecos.
Pistols decide pistol rounds and eco rounds. Picking the right one matters more than it seems.
🔫 Starting pistols
Glock-18 (T): 20 rounds, fast fire rate, weak against armor. Good at close range.
USP-S (CT): 12 rounds, silencer, high accuracy. Great for headshots.
P2000 (CT): 13 rounds, no silencer, slightly faster reload. Chosen in the loadout instead of the USP-S.
💰 Buyable pistols
P250 ($300): cheap, good armor penetration. A common pistol-round buy with armor.
Desert Eagle ($700): the strongest pistol, headshots kill through a helmet. Requires precise single shots.
Five-SeveN (CT) / Tec-9 (T) ($500): lots of ammo, good armor penetration. Strong on ecos and force buys.
CZ75-Auto: fully automatic, small magazine. Dangerous up close. Replaces the Five-SeveN/Tec-9 in the loadout.
Dual Berettas ($300): lots of ammo but low accuracy.
🎯 What to buy
Pistol round ($800): armor without helmet, or P250 + grenade, or utility with all your money.
Eco: Desert Eagle or P250 if you can afford it.
Force buy: Five-SeveN/Tec-9 + armor.
⚠️ Tip
With pistols, fire single taps with short pauses — spraying almost always misses.
