How to set up mouse sensitivity in CS2 (eDPI)
What eDPI is, what sensitivity pro players use and how to transfer your sens from CS:GO and Valorant to CS2.
The right sensitivity is the basis of consistent aim. Too high makes precise aiming hard, too low makes it hard to turn quickly.
📌 What eDPI is
eDPI is your mouse DPI multiplied by in-game sensitivity. It is the easiest way to compare settings between players.
eDPI = DPI × sensitivity
Example: 800 DPI × 1.1 = 880 eDPI.
🎯 Which value to choose
Most pro players use an eDPI between 600 and 1200.
Start with 800 DPI and sensitivity 1.0, then adjust in steps of 0.05.
A good reference: a swipe across the whole mousepad ≈ a 180–360° turn.
🔧 How to change it
In the menu: Settings → Keyboard / Mouse → Mouse → Sensitivity. Or via the console:
sensitivity 1.0
zoom_sensitivity_ratio 1.0
zoom_sensitivity_ratio controls sensitivity while scoped with the AWP and Scout.
🔁 Transferring from other games
CS:GO → CS2: the value is the same, change it only if your DPI changed.
Valorant → CS2: multiply your Valorant sens by 3.18. For example, 0.35 × 3.18 ≈ 1.11.
⚠️ Tips
Turn off "Enhance pointer precision" in Windows mouse settings.
Do not change your sens every day — muscle memory needs time.
