How to hold your weapon in the left hand in CS2

In CS2 you can hold your weapon in the left hand. This is useful when a corner or wall on your left is blocked by the weapon model.

🔧 In the settings

• Open Settings → Game → Item.

• Set "Preferred Viewmodel Hand" to "Left".

• switchhandsleft — weapon in the left hand.

• switchhandsright — weapon in the right hand.

• switchhands — toggle between hands.

🎯 Hand-swap bind

bind "v" "switchhands"

Pressing the key swaps hands mid-round — for example, so the weapon does not block the angle you are holding.

⚠️ Tip

If the key you chose was already used (for example, voice chat), check your key settings and move the old action to another key.
