HUD (interface) settings in CS2
How to change the size, color and look of the CS2 interface so the HUD does not block your view and stays easy to read.
The HUD is your health, armor, ammo, money, killfeed and radar on screen. Good settings make it readable without being distracting.
🔧 Where to set it
Settings → Game → HUD (in some versions the section is called "Interface").
📌 Main options
HUD scale — the size of all elements. A lower value leaves more free space on screen.
HUD color — choose a color that is easy to see on every map.
Team display — how teammates and their equipment are shown.
🎯 Via the console
hud_scaling 0.85
hud_scaling sets the HUD scale. Pick a value where health and ammo numbers are easy to read.
💡 Tips
On small monitors, do not shrink the HUD too much — you will have to squint at numbers.
On stretched 4:3 the HUD stretches too — check that nothing is cut off.
The radar is configured separately — see the radar settings guide.
⚠️ If the HUD disappeared
Run cl_drawhud 1 in the console. cl_drawhud 0 hides the interface completely — it is used for screenshots and only works with sv_cheats 1.
