Information is the main resource in CS2. A team that knows where the enemy is wins more rounds, even with worse aim.

📌 Sources of information

  • Sound: footsteps, reloads, grenade throws, jumps.

  • Radar: where teammates spotted enemies and where they died.

  • Enemy utility: where smokes and molotovs land is usually where the push will be.

  • Lack of information: if one site is quiet, the enemy may be on the other.

🔧 Getting info safely

  • Jiggle peek instead of a full peek — see and hide.

  • A flash or HE into a position — the reaction tells you whether someone is there.

  • Early peeks behind smokes only with a teammate's support.

🎯 As CT

  • Do not run across the map for info. Hold your area and report what you hear.

  • Molotov and smoke sounds at the start of a round often signal a site push.

💬 Share the info

Keep it short: how many, where, with what. For example: "Two banana, they threw a molotov."

⚠️ Tip

Do not die for info without a trade. Dying after calling "three here" is useful. Just dying is not.
