Galil AR and FAMAS in CS2: budget rifles
When to buy the cheap Galil AR (T) and FAMAS (CT) rifles in CS2, how they differ from the AK-47 and M4, and how to shoot them.
The Galil AR and FAMAS are cheap rifles for force buys and rounds when you cannot afford an AK-47 or M4.
📌 Galil AR (T)
Price: $1800 — $900 cheaper than the AK-47.
35 rounds, decent accuracy at medium range.
Unlike the AK-47, it does not one-shot the head through a helmet.
📌 FAMAS (CT)
Price: about $2000.
25 rounds and a burst mode: RMB switches to 3-round bursts.
Burst works well at medium range, full-auto up close.
🎯 When to buy
Force buys after losing the pistol round or in important rounds.
When you can afford a rifle or armor and utility — choose a balance with armor.
To keep money for an AWP or armor for a teammate.
🔧 How to shoot
Short bursts of 3–5 bullets, not long sprays.
Aim for the head — damage is lower than top rifles.
⚠️ Tip
If you can afford an AK-47 or M4 plus armor, take those. The Galil and FAMAS are budget choices, not replacements.
