Can you change FOV in CS2?

Many players look for a way to widen their field of view (FOV) to see more on the sides. In CS2 this is not possible.
📌 How FOV works in CS2
The camera FOV is fixed and the same for every player.
You cannot change it with a command or setting — this keeps it fair for everyone.
🔧 What you can change
viewmodel_fov — changes only the position of your hands and weapon, not the camera.

Aspect ratio — 16:9 shows more on the sides than 4:3.
Radar — a well-tuned radar gives more information than a wider FOV would.
🎯 Tip
If you want to "see more", play 16:9 and set up your radar. If bigger models matter more, choose stretched 4:3.

Programs that "change FOV" outside the game may tamper with game files. That risks a VAC ban — do not use them.
