The goal of CS2 graphics settings is high, stable FPS and good model visibility. Pretty visuals come second.

Open Settings → Video → Advanced Video:

  • Boost Player Contrast: Enabled.

  • Wait for Vertical Sync: Disabled.

  • Multisampling Anti-Aliasing (MSAA): 2x or 4x. On a weak PC — None.

  • Shadow Quality: Medium or High — shadows help you spot enemies.

  • Model / Texture Detail: Low.

  • Texture Filtering Mode: Bilinear or Anisotropic 4x.

  • Shader Detail: Low.

  • Particle Detail: Low.

  • Ambient Occlusion: Disabled.

  • High Dynamic Range: Performance.

  • FidelityFX Super Resolution: Disabled (Highest Quality). Enable only on a very weak PC.

  • NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency: Enabled (on NVIDIA GPUs).

📌 Display

  • Display Mode: Fullscreen — lower latency.

  • Refresh Rate: the highest your monitor supports.

🎯 Key points

  • Do not set shadows to Low: in some spots you will stop seeing enemy shadows.

  • After changing settings, test FPS in a bot match during a fight, not in the menu.

⚠️ Tip

If FPS is still low, lower the resolution — it gives the biggest boost.
